Back To School

I started back at school last Tuesday and I have been flat out working ever since. I can tell the rest of the year is only going to be more stressful which I am really not looking forward to. I had an english assignment due this morning and I have a studies of religion one due soon as well as lots of homework and major works. I have an in class performance for music which is not assessed and then one that is in week 9. My timetable is also completely different this year which surprised me a fair bit especially since weeks A and B are completely different to each other.
I am still pretty lost with how to start on my textiles and art major works but I have a pretty rough list of songs I’m considering doing for my music performances (The list includes Green Eyes/God Put a Smile On My Face/Warning Sign by Coldplay, Flame Trees by Cold Chisel, On My Own by The Used, Running To The Edge of the World by Marilyn Manson and a number of others).
At least everything in my school bag is cute ^.^

City Adventures

Friday (27/1/12) I went into the city to see Jaya, Keelyn and Jess.
I had to get up at 6:40 as i was getting a lift into the city with dad but it was alright as I’d planned out what I was going to wear and had packed my bag the night before. We got into dad’s office in Pyrmont at about 7:45 and I kicked around there for a bit and had a coffee while browsing twitter and facebook on my phone. At about 8:30 I left to head towards Town Hall. I took the ‘scenic’ route through darling harbour to China Town as I had plenty of time to spare and the atmosphere there was lovely. I walked with one headphone in listening to Coldplay. I walked past the filming of Masterchef in front of the Chinese gardens which was weird, they all looked so serious. I ended up meeting Jaya outside Capitol building as he got off at Central station rather than Town Hall. After popping into a couple of shops we went to go have breakfast at Gloria Jeans. I had a chai latte and we shared a blueberry bagel (one of my personal favourite combinations of all time) and sat and talked for a fair while. We headed to kinokuniya after that and I had a bit of a squeeling session over all of the cute stationary, clay craft sets, issues of Kera, Popteen, Seventeen and Ageha and all the lovely art books. I wanted to get a magazine but I couldn’t decide which one although I was seriously tempted by the issue of seventeen with a free Liz Lisa bag I didn’t end up getting one because I am hopelessly indecisive. After leaving kinokuniya we went to Town Hall to meet up with Keelyn and Jess and then headed down to China Town. We had ramen at Ajisen ramen and I had a fried tofu ramen which was super nice. No one could finish theirs though (I wasn’t even very hungry to start with) which was a bit of a waste so we decided next time we go we’ll share. After lunch we went wandering through the markets and did a bit of browsing upstairs at market city. I bought a cute pom-pom on a gold chain loop to attach to my bag from little japan. I think next time I go there I’ll get some more little lunch boxes. We got easy way after and Keelyn chose 2 for us to share as I didn’t know what I wanted, we got a jasmine milk tea and a taro milk tea both with pearls. I couldn’t decide which one I liked better so we continued to switch with each other every couple of minutes. Afterwards we headed to Capitol building and I drooled a little bit over all the prizes in the claw machines. Jess had to leave so we said our goodbyes and then took some purikura.

After dividing up the purikura I got a call from dad saying he was ready to go so I should head back to his office so we said our goodbyes to Jaya and Keelyn and I started heading back to Darling Harbour but before even passing China Town I realised I’d left my umbrella at capitol and still had Jaya’s stuff in my bag so I had to call him and head back to capitol to meet him there again haha. After saying our second goodbyes Keelyn and I headed to Darling Harbour and I said my goodbyes to her and headed home with my dad.
It was a lovely day all in all.

Melbourne Trip Part 2!

Tuesday
I slept in pretty late and kicked around on the internet until about 4. Jemma, Annie and I went to Doncaster shopping centre to go to the movies. We went to Max Brenner before the movie and I had a mocha (which didn't taste like coffee at all) and then me and Jemma went to see Tower Heist while Annie did a bit of shopping. The movie was funny, not something I'd be able to still be amused by watching it for a second time but it was still entertaining. After the movie we went to TGI Fridays for dinner and I had a 'Calypso Calamari Salad' which had calamari, mint, tomato, almonds and pineapple and it was super nice. Annie also gave me a eyebrow kit she had bought while we were in the movie.
Eyebrow kit by Australis
Eyebrow kit contains mirror, tweezers,
brush, 2 shades of shadow and wax

After dinner we headed back to their house and my auntie got me to do Jemma's hair and makeup. Jemma doesn't usually wear any makeup and she was half-heartedly complaining the whole time but it was alright. Annie got me to do her eyemakeup in shades that matched the dress she had bought a few days prior.
((Photos soon))
After I was done with Jemma's make over and she'd had a few photos taken we went to my Grandparents house as that's where I was to be staying for the next few days. I ended up going to bed relatively late and stayed in the loungeroom (even though I was offered my Auntie's room as she was away on holidays) as I needed a break from cat fur. (My Auntie's cat stays only in her bedroom).

Wednesday
Wednesday I went to Eastland Shopping centre with Nanna. We wandered around for a bit, had sushi for lunch and while we were eating my Nanna's brother; Ralph mistook me for my mother (I've never met this man in my life and I literally never get told I look like my mum), we talked to him for a bit and then we went to Myer and Nanna bought me 2 dresses.
$65 from Dangerfield.
also goes perfectly with my minnie mouse ears ;)
$45 from Miss Shop in Myer.

We went home after picking up some groceries.
I talked to mum on the phone and Jaya on skype for a bit before dinner and my auntie Cathy and two cousins Nathaniel and Aaron came over for a games night. We played 'Articulate' until quite late which was fun. I talked on skype to Jaya when my Auntie and cousins went home and ended up talking until 4 A.M.

Thursday
Thursday we didn't really do much, I slept in really late and in the afternoon Cathy called me and offered to take me to 'Brand Smart' (which is a little shopping centre with factory outlets and seconds/sample sales of various brands)
I ended up buying a leopard print bikini and a grey cardigan from the 'cotton on' store.

$20. I have an unhealthy obsession with leopard print..
I also got a lovely black and white bikini top from a swimwear store there that I have forgotten the name of. The bottom-half for the bikini was lovely and skirted but the waist-band was stitched wrong and wouldn't stretch so therefor it didn't fit which was absolute shit.
We went to Taco Bill's for dinner that even with Nanna, auntie Annie and auntie Cathy as well as my cousins Nathaniel, Aaron and Jemma. Annie had bought me the bottom-half of the bikini I had tried on when I was shopping with her as she had found it on sale for $15. After being the last table left at 9:30 we went home and I skyped with Tim until far too late in the night.

Friday
After getting up at 9 to have the breakfast my grandfather had prepared for me and going back to bed until 11:30 we organized with Cathy to go see 'We Bought A Zoo'. We headed down to Eastland and before we met up with Cathy and Nathaniel and Aaron me and Nanna went to the 'Off Ya Tree' store as I'd been meaning to go there all week. There was so much lovely stuff there! They stocked Hell Bunny, Sourpuss, Rock Steady, Sweet Vengeance and a number of other brands. I tried on a number of dresses (mainly to figure out my size for Hell Bunny dresses as I plan to buy some online) including an amazing Rock Steady dress that was a size too small on the bust but nowhere else, I was so sad they didn't have the size up. I did however get a lovely red dress by Sweet Vengeance.
It looks much lovelier when worn I promise.
It's shirred at the back and fits perfectly.
I got a seafood ramen (I have forgotten the exact name) for lunch before the movie. The movie was rather lovely, nothing I'd watch again and not really my type of movie but it was entertaining.
After the movie I went to go look for the matching top half to the bikini bottoms Annie had bought me. Nanna paid what the extra money that Annie had given me didn't cover as an early birthday present (I had to make her pinky promise not to buy me anything else. She insisted on paying for everything when I was with her even though I didn't ask her or need her to).
New bikini. My favorite one that I have bought

We played Up and Down the River (a card game) after dinner until we all had too little brain power to possibly continue. I ended up staying up till after 2 A.M. listening to music on my Auntie's stereo in her room, playing with her cat (which kept climbing all over me all night) and talking to Tim on skype.

Saturday
As it was my last day I didn't really do anything but pack everything and say my goodbyes to my grandparents before Cathy came to pick me up to take me to the airport. I didn't end up getting there too early but I was sick to the stomache with nerves. The flight ended up being alright and it was just a massive relief to get home. After my parents picked me up from the airport we went to our favourite Thai takeaway place in Willoughby for dinner. We ate in but took the leftovers home as there was so much.

I had a very lovely trip but it was just so nice to be home and have my own space and time to myself, it gets very exhausting being around people all of the time.

Melbourne Trip Part 1

I left for Melbourne on Wednesday the 4th. Had an egg mcmuffin and a mango and banana smoothie from Boost Juice and struggled to keep them down from all of the nerves. (I absolutely hate flying) My brother picked me up from the airport and we went back to his house. We went to Central Melbourne shopping centre, wandered around a bit. I bought a studded headband from Dangerfield.
New headband. - $7
We went to see the new Mission Impossible movie which was rather good. Spent the rest of the evening watching Family Guy, Friends, Anchorman and V for Vendetta

Thursday
After waking up from a rather late sleep in we spent the rest of the morning watching TV. Later on we took the dogs to the dog beach (I forget where it was). It was so funny watching all of the dogs there run around, chases balls, chase each other, trip over and just act like maniacs. There were big dogs and small dogs and they kept chasing each other in a line, it was like something out of a cartoon. We washed the dogs when we got home because they were covered in sand. Spent the rest of the afternoon watching Family Guy, Friends and The Simpsons and watched Knocked Up in the evening.

Friday
After a decent sleep-in I went shopping with my brother to help him find a Christmas present for mum. I picked out some really long black earings for her (which she adores) and a tin of Madagascan Vanilla tea from T2 (which is one of her 2 favorite flavours of tea). I helped my brother look for Tshirts for him and we found a couple. I also managed to find a pair of ballet-flats that actually fit my feet (I've been unable to find any that stay on my feet what with their narrowness and high arch) and my brother also bought me a batman shirt .

New Wallet - $11
New shoes - $10

After eating lunch we headed home and kicked around watching TV for a bit, I packed my bag and later in the evening my brother and I headed over to the Grandville Hotel to meet up with my uncle Keith. Food was alright and the conversations were interesting. After dinner Keith took me to the Billinghurt's (My auntie Annie, Uncle David and cousins Michael and Jemma) place. I sat with Keith talking till late and we decided we were going to go shopping together the next morning. I went to bed not long after he left.

Saturday
I got up around 9 and was god damn tired. Keith picked me up around 10:30 and we headed down to Richmond. It's a pretty damn good area for shopping, there's higher end brand's boutiques mixed in with factory clearance outlets and just cheap stores in general. I ended up buying lots of stuff as well as having very good conversations with Keith, he's always so easy to talk to and we relate to eachother very easily.

Sunday
Spent the whole day at bumming around on the internet, accomplished nothing.

Monday
Went shopping with Annie and Jemma at Foresthill shopping centre because the Myers there was closing down the following Thursday. I initially went in the hopes of finding swimmers but they were either not in my size, not to my taste or too expensive, there was one pair I really liked but I decided against because they were still a bit too out of my price-range. I tried on more bras than I ever have in my life and Jemma complained the whole time about having to try on about 3.

$23 down from $70. By Pleasure State
$3 gold and brown mascara
$6 by ChiChi

I had a small box of assorted sushi for lunch and then we went to Dimmeys. I hadn't actually been to Dimmeys before, despite having looked through brochures and having heard many good things about it but I definitely was pleasantly surprised when I saw the underwear section. Now if you know anything about my shopping habits you'd know I have a bit of an obsession with buying pretty underwear, and a damn lot of it (I do always get it cheap though so it is somewhat justified.) it's just one of those things that instantly makes me feel better about myself. Anyway, at this particular Dimmeys there was a relatively large women's underwear section filled with all sorts of different types of underwear; there was all sorts of awful crap ranging from granny panties, terribly small pairs of G-strings (or as I like to call them, 'butt floss'), Fluffy G-strings, numbers of pairs that looked like they were aiming for 'skin tone' but hit closer to 'skin tone if the skin of the person in question rolled around in dorritos, chocolate milk and baby vomit', and lots of awful prints of weird coloured flowers and statements that made no sense in the context they were placed in (that context being some chicks ass) but there was still a great deal of really nice stuff including stuff by brands such as Bonds, Ants Pants and even Calvin Klein. I picked through a bunch and found 3 pairs of underwear (2 pictured) and a bra and panty set.

I also managed to find myself a My Little Pony shirt which I found far too amusing to pass up with the price that it was selling for.

December

December was just a good month all round.
I saw so many friends I rarely see, met a lovely boy, wished my oldest friend happy birthday on her 18th birthday, had ridiculous amounts of laughter, stayed up late almost every night on the phone,  had loads of fun shopping for and making Christmas presents, got lovely Christmas presents, ate so much good food, went opshopping, slept excessive amounts, wasted time and acted like an idiot.

Purikura from the day I spent with Jaya in the city. (I kept cracking up when it was taking photos, I really don't know why I found it so hilarious.

The cutest cake I've ever seen!
